What You Need to Do to Get Ready for Buyback: K-12

MBS Direct’s buyback services are one of the things we take the most pride in as a company. Buyback provides our schools’ families and students valuable cost-savings and convenience, thereby helping each student have a successful academic experience. So with your next buyback right around the corner and MBS Direct wants to help make sure your school is ready for the big event, whether you’re doing an online buyback or are a participant in our EZ Drop program. In order to help prepare you, we have created a few simple tips for you to follow as you do your last minute preparations:

Send MBS Direct your adoption list

EZDrop_logoBe sure to get us your adoption list well ahead of the deadline in order to get the most value out of your books. The earlier we get your list, the more likely it is that your students will get a better combination of options and savings. If you’re a member of MBS Direct’s EZ Drop program, you’re going to want to select your date before anything else*. Simply contact your account manager who will then walk you through the process of setting up a date for your students to drop off all of their books.

*All EZ Drop dates must be confirmed at least three (3) weeks in advance.

Communicate with your students

When and how to sell their books back should never be a surprise for students late in the semester. Make sure you’re communicating with your students, both verbally and electronically, exactly what they need to do to sell their books back. Since all students can participate in buyback online, make sure your students know that that will primarily run between mid-May and mid-June.

Use your marketing materials

As part of your partnership with MBS Direct, your school can access social media prompts and images on our marketing site to use at any time, on your own. All other promotional materials can be set up by contactingyour account manager. If you are looking to use emails in your promotions, you will have the option of sending an email we have created for you or have MBS Direct send the email to your students with a list you provide.

Remind your students about Guaranteed Buyback

If they participate in this program, they will receive the exact price they were promised when they first bought their book, providing them with upfront cost-savings.
